Bio 

Megan Balle, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of anatomy at the Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her primary responsibilities include co-course directing the Essential Clinical Anatomy and Development (ECAD) course within the OMS-I curriculum, co-directing the Ultrasound Enrichment Program, conducting medical education research, and service on committees. Trained in all subspecialties of anatomy, Dr. Balle's primary academic focus includes gross anatomy, embryology, and histology. 

Prior to joining the anatomy faculty at the Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine , Dr. Balle worked as an associate instructor of anatomy at Indiana University School of Medicine-Indianapolis where she instructed MD, PA, PT, OT, and graduate students.

Professional Service and Affiliations  

Dr. Balle currently serves on the Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine  Student Promotion and Academic Progress Committee. She is a member of the American Association for Anatomy (AAA) and the International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE), and serves as a reviewer for multiple medical education journals.
